About WSO
Founded in 1966 with 85 artists, the Watercolor Society of Oregon
(WSO) is a statewide organization of almost 1000 members. The
primary activities of WSO are holding exhibitions of members work and providing education opportunities, both for
the members and others interested in the creation and appreciation
of the visual arts.
Juried Exhibitions
WSO holds juried exhibitions of members' paintings at the Spring
and Fall Conventions. Members are
invited to submit paintings to be juried by nationally recognized
artists. Eighty paintings are chosen for each show and are published
in a 28 page, color Exhibition Catalog. Of those, twenty are selected
by the juror to receive awards and travel throughout the state.
Award winning paintings tour the state
of Oregon for six months. |
