New membership

There are two types of membership available: Active (juried) and Subscriber (not juried).

Applying for Active Membership
To be considered for membership, please send your completed application (PDF format), three JPG images of your work, and a $10 check made out to "WSO" to the address indicated in the application. The deadline is September 15th for the current year. Applications received after that date will be included in the jurying process for the next year. Your images will be judged on three elements: 1) Basic use of water media, 2) Design and composition, and 3) Artistic interpretation of subject. The images should be in jpeg format (.jpg) and under 1 MB in size. Further info is in the application. Although professionally produced images are not required, members of the jury will judge your work based on the qualiy of your images - see the application for details.

Applying for Subscriber Membership
If you would like to receive WSO Publications and attend WSO events, but do not want to apply for Active membership, you may be interested in becoming a Subscriber. Subscriber dues are $25 each year and entitle you to attend all WSO events and WSO workshops. Subscribers are not eligible to enter paintings in the Spring and Fall Exhibitions. Subscriber memberships are available at anytime. To subscribe, please fill out and mail this form (PDF format).
